Reno Firefighters Local 731 Benevolent Fund

IAFF Local 731 · Reno, Nevada

For the Reno firefighters
who run toward the fire.

The 731 Benevolent Fund stands beside Reno's firefighters during medical emergencies, personal hardship, and the moments that don't make the headlines.

Our Purpose

Filling the gaps that matter most.

The Reno Firefighters Local 731 Benevolent Fund, founded in 2021, bridges gaps in charitable aid by offering flexible, unrestricted support to Reno firefighters facing hardship, medical emergencies, or unexpected challenges.

We empower members to back the community initiatives that build a safer, more resilient Reno — fostering solidarity through compassionate, member-led contributions.

"We fill the gaps that matter most — without overbearing limitations — ensuring our firefighters and community thrive."

How We Help

Three ways we show up.

Medical Emergencies

When injury or illness threatens a firefighter or their family, we move fast — covering gaps that insurance and pensions leave behind.

Personal Hardship

Loss, displacement, and the unexpected. Confidential, flexible support so a member can focus on what matters most.

Community Causes

We back the Reno-area initiatives our members champion — public safety, resilience, and the work that builds a stronger city.

Who We Are

Born from solidarity, run by the crew.

Established in 2021, the Benevolent Fund is a non-profit organization built by Reno firefighters, for Reno firefighters. We exist to support Station 731's people during the personal crises, health struggles, and unexpected hardships that don't fit neatly into other aid programs.

We're also a vehicle for the community work our members care about — public safety initiatives, resilience programs, and the local efforts that make Reno a stronger place to live.

Member-led. Solidarity-driven. Built to last.
